Jun 18, 2009 - I already install an asterisk with freepbx. And i was able to call from sip. Posting to igniterealtime.org ( official forum and website for openfire ). Can anyone point me in the right direction for upgrading my elastix install. Currently on 2.3 x86 and would like to take it up to 2.4 x86 is fine 2.5 wouldn't hurt either. Yum -y update - works but breaks everything. ![]() Select the database you want to use for Openfire from the DB drop down (the one you created in step 1 if you're using a new database). Open the openfire_sqlserver.sql file. Press F5 to run the script. The script will run and create the necessary tables. Proceed to the Openfire setup tool and use the appropriate JDBC settings when prompted. Figure 1: Install Elastix After burning the image to a disk and booting into the system, you will encounter a screen similar to that seen in figure 1. Simply press Enter to continue the installation in graphic mode. Settings fail to read from Freepbx - errors when loading web page initially. Reboot does not help yum -y reinstall freePBX also does no good. ----- have a fresh install from 2.4 stable x86 have a fresh install from 2.5 stable x64 Cannot simply take a backup from 2.3 and import into 2.4 / 2.5 I found - nothing really comes over - no extensions or really anything that I found - but didn't dig after finding freepbx settings didn't migrate over (extensions specifically) --- So what is the recommended path to upgrade to a more current version Server to Server - would be preferable as it would leave me with a method to keep running while testing a new box. Upgrade existing server - not bad but is virtual so I can revert to backup images but still hasn't been successful yet. Testing today seem to find: yum update elastix this works and updates freePBX modules yum update asterisk still working - dashboard won't refresh all items but is technically working also still can't load info - just stays blank. Creating another snapshot yum update 134 items being updated. -- after update same behavior - appears to be working but dashboard not refreshing / loading just spinning refresh no information loading in windows. --------- Update - to correct the loading issue Shift + refresh in chrome appears to have resolved that issue. Also checking if version is working now as well. B-C wrote: so my other question about elastix. Set 0 as an extension. ![]() Once you set 0 as an extension you cannot edit it any longer without having to delete and recreate the ext. Tested in 2.4 and 2.5 and get the same issue. Anyone else setup like that? Should have just done 0 as a destination not quite sure why it wasn't Do not use 0 as an extension. The problem is in the FreePBX modules I believe. Instead create a ring group with 0 as its 'extension' and then add the operator extension to the ring group. Hello, I realize i do not have an update problem but I have been scouring the web for a solution to not hearing my voice files on my setup IVR, Changed ownership of sounds folder, used a sample audio file from the system (gsm format), dabbled into echo cancellation in the zap* file, tested via an extension (7777) and it all works, but once i dial in from my sip trunk dead air, asterisk verbose and debug show file playing as should (so no errors would be picked). Using Elastix 2.5 (updated all via yum), Asterisk 11.17 on a Centos 6 server. I truly am stumped. Openfire Server SetupCodecs are set to allow=all by the way. All i ask is to be educated Please.
